With the pace of change and collaboration in organizations today, conflict is an often unwelcome, but necessary byproduct.  This conflict can be most difficult when dealing with other cross functional leaders and/or teams.  Resolving this conflict in a timely and healthy manner is critical for strategic planning, tactical execution and problem solving.  We will walk through a process of identifying the true root cause of the conflict and highlighting our role in creating it.  We will then plan out the discussion with the other individual / team, to increase receptiveness and constructive dialogue.  Lastly, we will provide tools to help the actual conversation stay on track and increase the probability of a positive outcome for both parties and the organization as a whole.

    In this presentation we will:

    • Identify the root cause(s) of cross functional conflict.
    • Develop methods and tools to gain an objective and balanced perspective of the situation.
    • Plan the discussion in order to reduce defensiveness and increase likelihood of success.
    • Prepare for in discussion scenarios to increase receptiveness, trust and interactions going forward.
