    This exciting and humorous session will examine taken-for-granted assumptions that create shared meaning in the workplace. Participants will learn about the role of storytelling, myths, and metaphors in the creation and sustaining of corporate cultures. This session will also examine common culture types, help participants recognize the characteristics of healthy and unhealthy cultures and discuss HR’s role in creating cultures.

    Learn how human facilitates communication, the importance of humor in relationships, how humor reduces stress and how humor provides perspective and takes down barriers.  

    Speaker Information:

    Keith Peterson is a marketing leader, trainer and educator, and keynote speaker. He’s a highly influential and collaborative executive best known for creating motivated, high-performing teams. As an HR industry veteran, Keith brings to MRA considerable knowledge and expertise from his 25-year HR industry career. Most recently he served as the vice president of marketing at Ceridian, a global human capital management software company.

    Keith loves to tell stories, motivate teams, and help people find their personal gifts. He’s passionate about mentoring others and helping organizations build and lead effective teams. He leads MRA’s Learning & Development division, with responsibilities to expand leadership and HR training programs and educational offerings, including scheduled/public programs, tailored onsite training, and virtual e-learning throughout MRA’s four-state Midwest footprint.

    Keith holds a master’s degree in journalism and public relations and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

    Keith’s popular presentations and seminars focus on effective communications, teamwork, leadership, and the use of humor to build and sustain relationships and improve performance.

    Keith serves on the board of River Valley Church and also serves on the board of Descendant’s International (a marriage preparation and enrichment ministry).
